The works of poets Katy Didden and Bridget Lowe are best characterized as exploratory, interrogative, edifying. Lowe's Poem for Virginia in Ecstasy, for example, opens with a plea for enlightenment: “Tell me, tell me all about it,” while Didden's work scrutinizes our environment, one isolated fragment at a time. The poets will present and read from selected works at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue, Maplewood) beginning at 8 p.m. The reading is part of the St. Louis Poetry Center's Observable Readings series. Admission is free, but bringing extra cash for Bottleworks' full drink and dinner menu is recommended. For more information call 314-241-2337 or visit www.observable.org.
