More About

2011 was jam-packed with everything from another horrific tsunami to a spectacular baseball post-season (culminating in the unexpected Cardinals World Series victory, of course). But what else? Well, Something Happened, and it’s on display Friday, February 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Luminary Center for the Arts (4900 Reber Place; 314-807-5984 or www.theluminaryarts.com). The exhibit is the second installation of the Center’s retrospective exhibition and features new work created during 2011 by its resident artists, including Ann-Maree Walker, David Weinberg and Jessi Cerutti. Something Happened will include a variety of mediums, including text-based paintings, video and sound installations, performance and printmaking. The exhibit is free and will remain on display each week, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from Noon to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. until Saturday, March 31.
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Feb. 24. Continues through March 31, 2012
