More About

Life is generous with its hardships and trials, but few match the pain parents feel at the loss of a child, especially a very young one. David Lindsay-Abaire’s play Rabbit Hole, winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for drama, sets out to survey the varying responses one family registers to the premature death of one of its own. Four-year-old Danny runs out into the street one day and is struck and killed by a car; his parents Becca and Howie have to find a way to cope with the overwhelming loss while avoiding the ruination of their marriage. Lindsay-Abaire’s drama is the stuff of extreme heaviness, yet there's life-saving humor illuminating the emotional murk. Catch the production of Rabbit Hole tonight (February 23) through Saturday, February 25, at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts (2300 West Clay Street, St. Charles; 636-949-4433 or www.lindenwood.edu) on the Lindenwood University campus. Admission is free, and performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
