More About

Before his death in 2011, the Missouri-born, openly gay playwright Lanford Wilson was recognized as the literary heir to Tennessee Williams and acclaimed as the herald of the Off-Off-Broadway movement. This Wednesday, Wilson's world-renowned and most frequently revived play, Burn This, comes to the Black Cat Theatre (2810 Sutton Boulevard; Maplewood) in a production mounted by the Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble. Burn This focuses on a group of friends sharing a loft in the heart of New York’s art district. While grappling with the loss of one of their own, the dearly departed’s brother arrives looking for answers and threatens to throw everything into chaos. The drama will play Wednesday through Saturday until May 26. Performances start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, and discounts are available for groups of ten or more. Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: May 9. Continues through May 26, 2012
