More About

On Saturday, May 19, the largest pooch festival in the Midwest offers pups and the people who love them the opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Animal Cruelty Fund with a walk and afternoon festival in Forest Park. The canine shenanigans known as Bark in the Park, sponsored by the Humane Society of Missouri and Purina One, commence at 10 a.m. at Cricket Field and curtail at 3 p.m.; the annual walk for animals kicks off at 11 a.m. This year's festivities are led by mascot G.I. Joe and pooch pals. Registration is $25 for adults, $5 for children age fifteen and under and free for children age three and under -- of course, furry family members get in for free. Each registrant will receive an official Bark in the Park T-shirt. For more information visit www.hsmo.org/bark.
