While Ballpark Village still has a long way to go before it's the bustling district it's intended to be, this weekend it promises to be packed to the gills with fine dining and entertainment. Mayfest, a three-day festival featuring art exhibits and musical performances from more than a dozen bands and DJs scheduled to play throughout the weekend, occupies the space surrounding Busch Stadium (700 Clark Avenue; 314-345-9600) beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. Aside from a massive schedule of live entertainment, featuring R&B legends War and local party band Dr. Zhivegas, Food Truck Alley will provide plenty of tasty dining options.
