Astute readers of Riverfront Times (hey, that’s you!) will no doubt recognize the collaborative pen-and-ink work of Kevin Huizenga and Dan Zettwoch. The local artists share the "Amazing Facts…and Beyond!" comic strip, presenting "facts" of dubious merit in brain-bending comedic fashion. But both men have rich portfolios outside our little rag, and the good people at Drawn & Quarterly have seen fit to give each artist his due. Huizenga’s Gloriana and Zettwoch’s Birdseye Bristoe will share a launch party tonight at 7 p.m. at Star Clipper (6392 Delmar Boulevard, University City; 314-725-9110 or starclipper.com). Hang out with the artists, pose for photos with characters from both books and receive free Zettwoch and Huizenga prints with select purchases, all while fostering the talent of two prominent components in our city's impressive pool of comic creators.
