Golf is a kick-back sport -- it requires skill, of course, but its low impact and leisurely pace (the walking often aided with golf carts, etc.) is better paired with a case of beer than a cooler of Gatorade. A Saturday-morning trip to the course is more often than not portrayed as a way for wealthy men to escape their stereotypically nagging wives, with the only drama taking place within the constructs of the game itself and the subsequent trash-talking. The game gets dramatic tonight at 8 p.m. when Insight Theatre Company performs Fox on the Fairway, a comedy exploring how off-the-green conflict can sneak its way into the game and throw things a bit off par. Catch Fox on the Fairway July 5 through July 15 (Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.) at the Heagney Theater (530 East Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves; 314-968-1505). Tickets are $25 to $30.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: July 5. Continues through July 15, 2012
