Have Your Art and Eat It, Too

Downtown Maplewood offers up its finest eats and arts for consumption this Friday with its seventh annual Let Them Eat Artfestival. The evening features enough to satisfy any palate with its assortment of food, drink, activities and attractions. More than a dozen restaurants, bars and wineries will provide plenty of variety -- swing by the Crow’s Nest (7336 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-781-0989) storefront to try a “Metrosexual” cocktail and tacos, or sample some wine at Saint Louis Cellars (2640 South Big Bend Boulevard, Maplewood; 314-880-9000 or saintlouiscellars.com). Live music by the PowerPlay Band, a screening of Bill Boll’s film Built for Speed, hoop dance performances, face painting, a dog costume contest and even dream interpretations will all be available for guests to enjoy. Admission is free, and the self-guided tour lasts from 6 to 11 p.m. For more information, visit www.cityofmaplewood.com/ltea.
