While it certainly has its moments of lighthearted, educational parables and uplifting tales where the blind can see, the bible is a major bummer. From inhibiting rules about shellfish consumption to an excess of horrific violence, it's far from all puppies and rainbows and guiding light. But Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat sticks to the good stuff, emphasizing on sung life lessons, straight from the Gospel of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
