No wonder you made such a delightful addition to the von Trapp family, especially in those stressful, pre-World War II times. Yes, picturesque Austria was facing some challenges back then, what with the German annexation and all, but the sounds of music you brought to so many hearts made no mountain insurmountable (figuratively or literally, of course). And the happiness your musical story continues to convey to all who watch and listen -- that's true magic right there. Stages St. Louis helps keep the enchantment alive with its production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, which features favorite tunes such as "Edelweiss," "Do-Re-Mi," "You Are Sixteen" and "My Favorite Things." The show runs every day but Monday from Friday, July 20, through Sunday, August 19, on the stage of the Robert G. Reim Theatre (111 South Geyer Road, Kirkwood).
