While it's easier than ever to access nearly any movie one could hope for on the cheap, deciding what to watch has never been more difficult. We scroll through the possibilities for 45 minutes, adding Criterion classics to our queue while navigating a personalized, targeted web of selections only to settle for season two of Parks and Recreation (for the ninth time). Super-8 Movie Madness at the Way Out Club (2525 South Jefferson Avenue; 314-664-7638) makes it easy to cross several films off the list of "I feel like I should have already seen that" in one sitting with its ultra-condensed shorties. The August 7 Boris Karloff edition is no exception, offering several of the infamous actor's paramount performances from Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Ravenand more, plus several non-Karloff films such as The Deadly Mantis and Animal House. Catch hours of classic cinema in fifteen minute increments beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $3, and includes access to Boris Karloff trivia with themed prizes.
