More About

Delve headfirst into Hispanic culture this weekend with live music, dance performances, folk arts and crafts, and authentic Latin and South American eats and drinks at the annual Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival. This year's fiesta runs Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, September 9, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., in Kiener Plaza (601 Market Street). Glimpse fancy footwork a la Hispanic folklore dancers from Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, or learn from the pros with salsa and bachata dance lessons while grooving to the tunes of live Latino bands playing salsa, merengue, percussion and more. Explore more than 75 booths and vendors, including food and libations native to Mexico, Argentina and Belize, and hurry half-pints to the children's pavilion to meet Dora the Explorer and her friend Diego. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 314-837-6100 or visit www.hispanicfestivalstl.com.
