Most of us in the Midwest saw much more of a particularly brutal sun (and practically no rain) than we'd bargained for this summer, but it'll be wintertime soon and that sometimes-harsh orb won’t be visiting us quite as often. Perfect timing, then, for two hometown institutions, the Saint Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue) and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, to join forces and present a concert tonight titled Here Comes the Sun. The SLSO's strings and percussion ensemble, The Strings of Arda, supply this diverse musical score, which was conceived and crafted to pay tribute to the sun. The program will be performed beneath the dome and stars of the James S. McDonnell Planetarium (Clayton and Faulkner drives).
