Bike nerds love to ride their bikes, sure, but even better than riding a bike is talking for hours and hours about how great it is to ride a velocipede. The wonderful folks at Trailnet have organized the 2013 Bike Expo and Swap Meetin the Gateway Center (1 Gateway Drive, Collinsville, Illinois) once again -- and you love it. Bins upon bins of cables, brakes, saddles, seat posts, stems, wheels, ol' rusty frames (good condition frames, too, calm down), jerseys probably and some of those funny hats with the tiny brims. Oh, man, the smell of rubber and chain lube is wafting through the air already. Preregistration gets you in the door a half-hour early at 9:30 a.m. to rush and find the perfect Sachs-Huret New Success derailleur before having to beat anyone to a bloody pulp with a Reynolds 531 fork for it.
