The story of Romeo and Juliet is synonymous with love. How could it not be? Two young people from warring families meet, fall in immediate love and then end up joined forever in death, all against the backdrop of sixteenth-century Italy. The Saint Louis Ballet brings the timeless tale to glittering life with a production of Sergei Prokofiev's Romeo + Juliet, with original choreography by Gen Horiuchi. Performances take place at 8 p.m. Friday, 2:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday (February 8 through 10) at the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus (1 University Drive at Natural Bridge Road; 314-516-4949 or www.touhill.org).
