"Chamber Music Society of St. Louis" and "Sheldon Concert Hall" go together as perfectly and consistently as 2 plus 2 on their sure path to making 4. You know the outcome is always going to be even; you can hang your hat on that certainty every time. Our city's fine group of musicians devoted to the felicities of chamber music in all its rich expanse and variety is doing something a little different tonight: Hardcore Classics 2013 is a program designed to provide a format wherein the Chamber Music Society can perform chamber works that in their depth, breadth and length fall outside the typical canon of chamber pieces usually recited. Tonight's concert features Mozart's Adagio for English Horn and Strings, Saint-Saens' Fantaisie for Violin and Harp and Sir Arnold Bax's In Memoriam. As always the venue is the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900 or www.thesheldon.org). Tickets are $40, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
