Sister Mary Clarence -- everyone's favorite lounge-singer-turned-nun from Sister Act -- is hanging her habit at the Fox for two weeks of gospel-tinged fun in the Broadway tour of this movie turned musical. For those of you who haven't seen the 1992 comedy starring Whoopi Goldberg, this show focuses on a nun-in-hiding who brings life to a pent-up convent through popular music while waiting out a mob hit in the Witness Protection Program. Be prepared to add a little swing and soul to your spiritual journey. Sister Act plays Tuesday through Sunday (November 19 through December 1) at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1111 or www.fabulousfox.com); there is no show on Thursday, November 28. Tickets are $25 to $80.
Tuesdays-Sundays; Nov. 29-Dec. 1. Starts: Nov. 19. Continues through Nov. 27, 2013
