One of the great joys of parenthood is Christmas, as crazy as that sounds right now. Fighting all the crowds while questing for their dream gift (whatever it is this year), staying up late to assemble a bike, having to coordinate the aunts and uncles and grandparents so there's no gift duplication -- that's all work. But you can also make kids' eyes spin in their sockets just by bringing 'em to see Santa. And if you bring them to Santa's home, well, their little bodies vibrate with glee. Give 'em a jolt and take 'em right to the old gent's hometown, with a nighttime visit to Santa's Magical Kingdom at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Resort (Six Flags and Fox Creek roads, Eureka; www.santasmagicalkingdom.com). This place has everything -- a tunnel of lights to drive through, Elfland, Candy Cane Village, gigantic 3-D toys in Toyland, a train the whole family can ride and even a light-up version of the Gateway Arch. Santa's Magical Kingdom is open 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday until Sunday, January 5, 2014. Admission is $20 to $30, depending on the size of your vehicle.
