John Williams is synonymous with film scores at this point in his career. As soon as you read his name, chances are you heard the triumphant fanfare from Raiders of the Lost Ark or the menacing "Imperial March" from Star Wars. This weekend, David Robertson and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra pay tribute to the man who has provided the soundtrack of our happiest cinematic moments with the program Music of John Williams. Robertson leads the symphony through selections from Star Wars and Raiders, of course, as well as his work for War Horse and the underrated comic gem 1941. Don't be alarmed by the Star Wars-style stormtroopers in the lobby -- they're only there to pose for photos, not to take you to the detention level. Music of John Williams is performed at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday (December 27 through 29) at Powell Symphony Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1700 or www.slso.org). Tickets are $30 to $80.
