In downtown Clayton, flirting and money-flashing seem to be the unofficial home-team sports — so a bona fide sports bar might seem out of place. But Barrister's pulls it off, offering a low-key atmosphere for game-watching in the understated bar area up front. There and in the relaxed main dining room, good food is served at reasonable prices (again, miracle of miracles, given the ZIP code). The menu's satisfying and deliciously diverse for a pub: crab cakes, onion rings, nine kinds of burgers, six varieties of personal pizzas and a Brie-L-T.
