Consumers in this country seeking a premium automobile at an attractive price point have been anticipating the arrival of the 2014 Kia Cadenza. On the other hand, Cadenza has been available, refined and sold in the Asian market for sometime, badged as a Kia K-7. Based off of the popular Hyundai Azera sedan, the Cadenza seats up to five adults with generous occupant interior space. The price point or the suggested retail price is $35,100 which also includes Kia's 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. It is the most powerful and technologically advanced vehicle ever offered in the United States by Kia Motors. The 2014 Cadenza will be offered in one trim level. You read correctly, one trim level makes ordering more streamline and less complex for consumers. It also helps with the build process. Of course similar to other near luxury vehicles, they offer a number of factory installed creature comforts and high-end amenities that help transform Cadenza to your personal likes. Aside from a unique blend of European inspired design, outstanding dynamic performance and high levels of refinement, Kia's newest flagship offers class-leading interior room and many standard features. The “short list” includes; keyless entry system, their latest and most advanced navigation system (which is tied in with Sirius/XM Traffic) and their UVO customer friendly eServices. UVO is a free telematics service (for 10-years/100,000 miles) that includes 911 services, roadside assistance, vehicle health report plus many other infotainment features. Bluetooth(®) wireless technology for supporting numerous devices is also included as well as an eight inch center dash mounted touch screen, 550-watt Infinity 12-speaker audio system, rear camera display and attractive leather trimmed heated seats with power adjustment for the front occupants. In addition to the long list of standard amenities, it is offered with two option packages. This includes the premium package as well as an optional technology package. Clearly, both of these option groups help thrust the value of Cadenza while raising the level of sophistication. Priced at $38,100, the premium package adds more upscale characteristics with a full length panoramic overhead sunroof and power retractable rear sunshade, high-end Napa leather trim with heated outboard rear seats and ventilated 12-way adjustable driver seat. Also included are HID headlamps with fully adaptive front lighting system, a seven-inch LCD instrument cluster for superb clarity and customization as well as a heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping capabilities. The technology package also includes everything in the premium package as well as a two position memory setting for the driver's seat. This memory setting also includes automatically pre-adjusting the outside door mirrors to your precise settings. It also electronically adjusts the steering column position to exactly what you would prefer. The optional technology package will also include the addition of 19-inch alloy wheels, an electronic parking brake, advanced smart cruise control, blind spot detection safety system and Kia's first ever lane departure warning system. When equipped with the technology package, this sedan has a retail price of $41,100. On all versions of Cadenza, you'll need to also add $800 for shipping and destination charges to the MSRP. In addition, the vehicles side windows feature an advanced hydrophobic technology. This is designed to help repel water for enhanced visibility during rainy weather conditions. "The all new Cadenza is a world class Kia for the emerging space between mainstream and luxury and will appeal to discerning shoppers in the market for an upscale sedan," said Tom Loveless, executive vice president of sales, Kia Motors America. "We're confident that Cadenza's sophisticated styling, luxuriously appointed cabin and long list of available technology will make it a strong contender in the marketplace." Under the hood, they offer one engine. It’s their smooth operating all aluminum 3.3 liter V6 powerplant, engineered to generate 293 commanding horsepower and utilizes gasoline direct injection technology which improves performance while maintaining notable fuel efficiency. Power is seamlessly transferred by way of the six-speed, sport-tuned electronically governed automatic transmission. EPA numbers reflect 22 combined city/highway driving. The vehicles fully independent and advanced underside suspension provides a perfect and unique balance between sporty and comfort to meet the needs of a variety of drivers. Complimentary scheduled maintenance is also included for the all new 2014 Cadenza sedan. The program covers the first five factory scheduled service appointments at your dealership and is applicable for 36 months or 37,500 miles. For additional information check out www.kia.com.
