Juhari's Deli
Anywhere else, a vegan deli would be an oxymoron. "Deli" conjures up images of cows and chickens, cut, sliced and laid out in neat little rows. "Vegan" is the antithesis of this. Juhari's, however, manages to be a great vegan deli that could convince even the staunchest carnivore that there is life beyond beef. The store features a great selection of vegetarian fare, including curried vegetables, okra (fried, not slimy) and stewed tomatoes. The deli also carries meat substitutes. (The barbecued tofu is surprisingly delicious.) The fare is made fresh from all-natural, organically grown ingredients and is a healthy option for vegetable- and meat-eaters alike.
