In searching for Mexican market perfection, one of the most important attributes is product density. But it's not only the quantity of products being shown off that's relevant, it's the intense and somewhat chaotic mélange of color displayed. At a quick glance, nothing should be clearly decipherable. Open daily from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., La Carnicería not only provides a perfect blend of these characteristics but announces its presence in this rapidly growing Latino neighborhood with a fantastic mural typical of Mexican culture and a welcome update to the once-faltering Cherokee district. One can only hope this is a sign of things to come.
