Ardie and Tiny's, a brown-cabin bar on Collinsville Road, bears the double-edged distinction of being closest in proximity to the area horse track, Fairmount Park, thus guaranteeing a human circus inside the bar every race night. On weekends Ardie and Tiny's features live rock & roll of the roadhouse variety. If by chance you've just parted ways with a C-note via bad bets on bum nags across the road and are drowning your sorrows in tequila (backed by Pabst, of course), don't be surprised if you're approached by a mustachioed man who introduces himself as "the chairman of the itty bitty titty committee." That would be the band's lead singer, and his off-color line is as good an indicator as any that you'd best buckle up, ask the chick with the Dolly Parton hairdo to take a spin on the dance floor and quit your moping. Odds are, by night's end, you'll have dropped another C-note on booze. Only this time, it'll have been well worth it.
