Seafood City
Seafood City is the only grocery store we know of where you can buy your frogs' legs very fresh -- as in, attached to the live frog, which you point to, and a butcher does the rest. The same holds true for any number of fish flopping around in their tanks, fresh shellfish, and one awfully large turtle (which we hope no one buys). If you can't bring yourself to sentence a live fish to death, you can choose from a large selection that's been dried, frozen or gutted and laid out on ice. Fresh ground pork and duck legs (perfect for that at-home confit!) are also there for the taking. The produce takes some getting used to -- a lot of it isn't labeled. Fortunately a Hong Kong product called Spice Powder for Fish Ball is.
