Artmart is more than just a frame shop -- it's a virtual Sam's Club of art supplies and assorted craft stuff (see "Best Art Supplies"). It's also the best place in town to have your masterpiece framed, be it that Renoir you picked up in Paris last year or your four-year-old's indecipherable fingerpainting. The store has hundreds of pre- and custom-made frames and -- more important -- the experts who know how to choose and construct a frame that will complement Auguste's oil or Sophie's glop. Turnaround for custom-made frames can take a couple of weeks, but smaller works can be matted and framed while you wait. For the shutterbug, the store also carries a huge selection of photo frames.
