Talayna's karaoke night is not for everyone. In fact, come to think of it, karaoke in general may only be for the severely intoxicated. Talayna's greatness owes not to its song roster, which includes far fewer New Order selections (one) than some might prefer. (Ahem.) It's not due to the clientele -- your basic assortment of grungy regulars and crewcut balladeers. It's not even due to the availability of pizza. No, we honor Talayna's karaoke night for the cheap beer, the very supportive staff, the fenced-off stage area...and the mirrors! Karaoke artistes need to look like stars while they're performing, and at Mike Talayna's, for one Bud-soaked song, they do. Drop in to sing from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
