Swing-A-Round Fun Town
In the shadow of St. Basil's pastel onion domes, everyone's silent as she approaches the green. She inspects the lay of the land: a hazard here, a slope there. And then with an expert putt she delivers the goods -- right across the bridge! Ah, the pleasures are many at Swing-A-Round Fun Town's three (count 'em!) nine-hole mini-golf courses. Choose the decorative-grass path of least resistance at this family fun center; all three offer nice landscaping, cascading waterfalls, well-maintained putting surfaces -- and even a touch of real wildlife every now and then, in the form of toads and tiny snakes. Rates: $4.50 for 9 holes; $5.50 for 18; $6.50 for all 27. This Fun Town (there's a less ambitious one in St. Charles, at 3541 Veteran's Memorial Parkway; 636-947-4487)
also offers go-carts, kiddie carts, bumper boats, batting cages and a 12,000-square-foot arcade, not to mention pizza and ice cream, so there's plenty to keep you occupied when the putting's done.
