Sunday nights at Hammerstone's
Walking into Hammerstone's on a Sunday night is sort of like coming home. Sure, the VooDoo Blues Band is usually there, as is Earl "The Pearl" Gibson of Charlie Owens' Ink Spots fame. The late, great guitarist Bennie Smith was known to show, and recently blues newcomer Marquise Knox has been stopping by. You never know exactly what you'll see, but expect a healthy mix of old-timers and up-and-comers. The drinks are strong, the food is down-home, and with free admission, you can't beat the price.
