Best College Athlete - 2006
This past spring Saint Louis University basketball phenom Ian Vouyoukas entered himself in the NBA draft and didn't get a bite. Admittedly, it was a halfhearted attempt to go pro on the part of Vouyoukas, who didn't hire an agent and announced that he wouldn't leave the college ranks unless he was taken in the first round. So much the better for SLU basketball fans. Entering his senior season, the six-foot-ten center from Athens, Greece, will likely improve his game no small feat when you consider that last season he averaged 13.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's "Most Improved Player."
