Moxy

Even if you're alone at Moxy, you're not really alone. The teensy bar is so close to the open-air kitchen that you can easily carry on a conversation with the chef while he or she is making your meal. What's more, Moxy stays open throughout the afternoon, making it a quite lovely place to catch a mid- to late-afternoon lunch or early dinner. The jazzy environs speak well to the offbeat life of the self-employed/artsy/freelancer set—folks who do solo dining all the time and appreciate places where the phrase "table for one" is met with ease and panache. In the warmer months, an ample sidewalk patio allows for Central West End people-watching. Dining solo at Moxy makes eating out alone an indulgent pleasure.

My Husband and I enjoyed Moxy very much, it is urban, friendly, intimate, fun and the food was great too! We love small restaurants like this - so New Yorkish!

LOVE this place. Whether you are eating inside or out, you will not be disappointed. My absolute favorite thing on their menu is the tomato bisque with the foating grilled cheese crouton on top. And their Tuna is quite pleasing as an entree. Great food at a fair price in an eclectic, fun atmosphere. . .definitely not an old, stuffy place!
