This store does have fantastic toys and I do shop frequently here. I must agree that the staff is NOT friendly at all. The teens that work there act as if it's a huge burden to answer any questions. I haven't tried any of the aforementioned other toy stores - need to give them a try too because service is very important to me.
Best Toy Store St. Louis 2006 - A Pocketful of Toys
The toy store has nothing to do with Lori Drew. I am quite sure they did not know what a terrible person Ms. Drew was before they advertised with her. Do you also condemn all the people that ate at Kirkwood Imos because Michael Devlin worked there? Give me a break.
A Pocket Full of Toys is a nice store and a good place to find something different from the usual stuff at TRU. I believe also this store is a sister store to Unique Toy and Game....another good place to shop.
How Ironic that "A Pocket Full of Toys" would be advertised by Lori Drew. Wasn't she the 48 year old mother that went after a helpless 13 year old girl until the girl hung herself? I do think so! Which means, your fantasy/happy-go-lucky/childs heaven is connected to a woman that hounded a 13 year old depressed child until that child could see no way out but by killing herself.
What a warm and fuzzy image that brings to mind...
Unfortunately, in my opinion, A Pocketful of Toys isn't all that great. The shop is small and crowded, and I found the staff to be less than friendly. I would rank other shops like Toy Time, Unique Toy, or Imagination Toys as far superior to this shop.
