This was the year Chipotle Mexican Grill finally rode into town from Denver, lassoed longtime believers and new converts alike and herded them into the best fast-casual dining experience period. There's really not much to it. Chipotle makes burritos. Tacos, too. It's an assembly line, sure, efficient and somewhat impersonal, but why complain when you get to choose between flavorful, naturally raised meats (the barbacoa is especially tasty), perfectly cooked beans and fiery salsas. If you already love Mexican and Tex-Mex food, you'll appreciate its convenience not to mention the quality when you just don't have time to visit your favorite "authentic" joint. If you're a novice, consider Chipotle your gateway drug. Just try it once. C'mon everyone's doing it.
