Was a bit disappointed with MiRanchito. It came highly recommended, but the food tasted overly simple and "out-of-the-can." No foods bursting with freshness or vibrant flavor. The servers were nice enough, but nothing more. But it was inexpensive.

From 11 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday you can choose from nine combination meals — tasty versions of the usual suspects: enchiladas, tacos, burritos and more served with rice and/or beans — for only $4.75. The cost still too high? You can get the "Speedy Gonzales" combo (an enchilada and a taco) for just $4. If you're willing to lay out just a little more scratch, "chori pollo" offers loads of flavor for just $6.25: a chicken breast topped with cheese and chorizo, served with rice, guacamole salad and flour tortillas. Add in the obligatory chips and salsa and you've got one satisfying meal — and enough money left for dinner.
