When you break it down, macaroni & cheese is simply that: noodles and curdled milk. But why would you want to talk that way about the most heavenly side dish ever? It's a warm-you-from-the-inside-out casserole on a blustery winter's day, and it's a comforting cushion for icy cold beers during the summer months. Perhaps this latter reason is why we worship the mac & cheese at Growlers Pub. The beer list here features so many frothy brews that we want to drink, and the generous boat of macaroni goodness is the perfect foil. With oodles of cheese, the creaminess of this side is beyond compare, while the breadcrumb topping provides just the right toothy texture and elevates the dish to the culinary stratosphere.

Typically, I really like just about anything I get from Growlers, but I've gotta say, the time that I got macaroni & cheese there, I found it really dull. I'd sooner hand the best mac & cheese banner to Tin Can or Sweetie Pie's. (Monarch's lobster macaroni and cheese sounds quite good too, but I've haven't tried it.)
