This was my boyhood neighborhood, before my career took me to live in six U.S. cities and several foreign assignments. Somehow, this mile stretch is still special, having seen all of those other places. I try to get back to it, at least twice a year. People who live in this area are blessed with an abundance of riches...the kind that will make you whistful once you leave. The treasure shows signs that good people are taking care of it. I see that with each visit.
