Pardon me if I sound grumpy, but life ain't easy for your average putt-putt windmill. Every day I spin and spin and spin, and if I do my job well, some sugar-addled, snot-nosed brat is gonna smack a golf ball off one of my blades. And for who knows how long, that was all anyone asked from a putt-putt course. I mean, I've got the initials of hundreds of young lovers carved into me; I bet half of 'em live in retirement homes now. But these days, apparently, that's no longer enough. Even putt-putt has to be all cool and futuristic. Look at Putting Edge. It's a glow-in-the-dark golf course. I mean, who needs a windmill when you're trying to sink a glowing ball in a glowing hole? Plus there's all the trippy glow-in-the-dark decorations. It's like being back in your dorm room. The cost is reasonable, too. General admission is $9.25, kids aged seven to twelve are $8.25 and five- and six-year-olds are $6.75. It's great for parties, corporate events and especially dates. It's dark, if you know what I'm saying. (You try carving your initials into something in the dark.)
