These guys are great! They have a great teaching staff, a huge selection and a helpful sales staff. Their house brand of cymbal stands are affordable and top notch too.

St. Louis really hasn't had a standout homegrown full-line music store since McMurray Music sold out to a Dallas-based chain a few years back, so players who want to shop somewhere locally owned must patronize various specialty retailers. Sure, the big chain store has its uses, but for many of the city's top percussionists the preferred stop is Drum Headquarters, where you can find all sorts of things that can be struck, stroked or shaken, sold by a knowledgeable staff made up mostly of working drummers. To survive in an age of catalog retailers, Internet stores and eBay auctions, a local music store has to hit the sweet spot in selection, price and service, and Drum Headquarters does a commendable and competitive job on all three counts.
