Carrie Davini's work is sharp, full of eye-popping colors that look straight out of a vibrant comic book, while Chris Quidgeon's ability to render lifelike faces and precise script belies his attention to detail. But just as important as artistry — at least to those with low pain thresholds and a fear of ink fading or spreading — is how Evermore makes newbies feel confident in their tattoo choices. There are no secrets or surprises to their craft: While the prospective tattooed can schedule a consultation visit with a particular artist — or even fax in ideas for an opinion — Evermore's MySpace page (www.myspace.com/evermoregallery) contains extensive galleries that demonstrate clearly who would be best for your foray into body art. Heck, even a quick call to the gallery yields a friendly, informed opinion. Open from noon to 9 p.m. every day but Sunday, Evermore makes getting inked a less-than-painful experience.
