Fashionistas, rejoice! Laney Stout and Jenna Manges, who opened Timeless Authentic Garments (tag) in April, are able to offer something larger-scale vintage clothing suppliers and consignment stores don't: a personal touch. Tag is not a consignment store — Stout and Manges personally select all of their pieces from wholesale suppliers, and they write descriptions of each item's particular appeal (as well as outfit suggestions) alongside the price tag. But the proof, as they say, is in the pudding, and tag's garment collection includes vintage Diane Von Furstenberg, Fendi 365 and Prada, among others. While pricier than what you might unearth at the marvelously colossal Rag-O-Rama, tag offers the highest ratio of big-fashion-house-names per collection, so a visit is always worth the short jaunt down the street.
