This review made me go out and buy two copies of their CD - ASAP! (One to keep - one to share!) Hmmm... maybe I should have bought a third copy to keep in "pristine" condition for when they're super-superstars ;-)

The MoTre trio of Angelo Blakely, Santana Barnes and Jermaine Casey deploy mellow harmonies à la Nineties R&B, but they're not afraid to throw in some modern Midwest dirrty dirty, compliments of local hip-hop star Potzee, whom they feature on the racy track "Hot Spot" from their album Imperfect Gentlemen. Regularly showcased at Old Rock House's Suite Soul Spot (on the first Tuesday of every month), MoTre specializes in sexy songwriting and smoothly bumpin' neo-soul, and the classy, animated crowd they draw is proof that our flame for local R&B still burns hot.
