Best T-ShirtsRina Wear
The first T-shirt Jeff Michel created said "nipples." Mmm-hmm. "Nipples," printed across the bust, and it sold out at a shop in Ballwin. But of course! A few — oh, seven, or eight — years later, Michel's little T-shirt store that could, Rina Wear, is going gangbusters online. Dude's got two new cheeky screen prints a week to choose from. (You get them stamped on the colored shirt of your choice.) Stuff like "I Buy My Meth in Jeff Co," with a pic of a mobile home. One of the best may be "North County is Dangerous," featuring a set of pistols. Michel 'bout caused a riot when the shirt debuted last year. "I had old ladies calling me, complaining. Even the mayor of Florissant called to say he didn't think it was very funny," he reports. Michel then made a call of his own, to the local TV news stations, who further stirred up a ruckus. Before long cops from all over were hitting up Rina Wear for their NoCo silkscreen, making it an instant bestseller. At $15.99 a pop, who can blame 'em?
