Surviving Highway 40 construction
Take a bow, MoDOT. There was no Carmageddon after all. All those doomsday disciples' predictions of calamitous traffic jams, businesses going under and Cardinals fans still filing into the ballpark in the seventh inning never did materialize. An occasional hiccup, sure, but overall, rebuilding the first five miles of Highway 40 went off pretty well. Who thought new infrastructure could be so exciting? Of course, things could always go south. Check back with us next year.
