Readers' Choice: P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Many governments follow a One China policy, refusing to recognize — explicitly, at least — Taiwan's independence from mainland China. In the interest of global harmony, might we suggest replacing this with the Shu Feng policy? At this University City spot, you can enjoy excellent renditions of your favorite Chinese dishes, including a wonderfully fiery hot braised pork and the rare hot-and-sour soup that is, in fact, both hot and sour. But Shu Feng also offers a selection of intriguing Taiwanese soups and curries, including roast eel rice. As if that weren't enough of an attempt at bringing about world peace, Shu Feng has Korean dishes as well. Can't we all get along here? At Shu Feng we certainly can — and, at lunch, we can get along for much less and with two tasty crab rangoon (or one egg roll) to boot.

Wow, I love this place I have been going there for almost ten years with my family. It is a great place to meet because of it's central location and they have the worlds best Water Dumplings, they are so good that when we planned our wedding almost 8 years ago (July) we had them cater in the dumplings for us. As for the staff there the hostes is typically the owner and knows most everyone who goes there at least every couple months by name. Her name is Lilly & she is an absolute dole, so nice and now a personal friend of the family. Is this review slanted - YES - was it solicited - NO - Definitely in my top 10 St. Louis

We've been going to Shu Feng for years. We love the service - when we walk in the door the hostess remembers what we always order. They have the best sesame chicken and hot & sour soup of several Chinese restaurants I've tried. It's a great value for the $$$.

Not to argue about the Chinese dishes at Shu Feng, but the Korean stuff there is scary bad. Bad enough that if you order off the wrong side of the menu, you're never going back...
