The Humanoids
As trying as the past year has been on the local punk scene — what with venue closings, shows pushed down to basements and bands breaking up — the Humanoids have been among the few bright spots in our ever-loosening collective of bands and scenesters. In the past year, the band has released an EP (Year of the Snake), recorded enough songs for an upcoming full-length and played a dozen shows out east, miles away from Missourah flyover country. Music fans voted them the tops in this very paper's own music poll in June, and we have to agree.
