Any athlete, young or old, will tell you that good equipment is key. Any athlete will also tell you that good equipment can take a big chunk out of a wallet. And when it comes to sports equipment, new doesn't always equate to good, and a lot of gear can benefit from a little breaking in (athletic supporters and mouth guards being two exceptions). Play It Again Sports stocks a fair amount of new equipment, but we go for the used stuff — that and the fact that they're happy to buy or trade for our own used gear. (Plus, places such as Dick's and Sports Authority aren't known for bartering with customers.) Another plus: Play It Again Sports franchises are individually owned and operated, so what you found in one location won't be identical to what'll greet you when you walk through the door of another.
