Bottle service is for rap stars, reserved tables are for wannabes and people with too much money, and we've got better things to do than wait in line to get patted down just for the privilege of busting a move on an overcrowded dancefloor. This is St. Louis. We only wait in line for Ted Drewes. It's the simple things in life: a leather couch in an intimate corner, an international DJ set with a reasonable cover, plenty of room to stretch out and scads of scantily clad pretty young things to keep things interesting. Nightclubs have gotten a bad rap this year, but Sol has stayed the course, bringing in the hottest DJs on the circuit, including the Twelves, Classixx and JFK of MSTRKRFT. Sure, the drinks are a little steep, and you may have to wait for a bathroom hookup to run its course (private stalls, you know), but with multiple DJs on multiple floors and world-renowned, bitchin' acts the likes of which this town has rarely seen, Sol knows how to party — and that's how we like it.
