Onestos is a wonderful restaurant. The owners are very friendly and personable. I only had the chance to try their pizza but it is very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Tucked away in a sea of one-way streets, brick houses and manicured lawns of the Southampton neighborhood lies a taste of Italian café fare. Onesto, which opened in 2008 and is owned and operated by mainstay restaurateurs the Racanellis, is an unassuming corner joint with no obvious flash or flair. But the simple patio, with its flickering strings of lights and roughly ten four-tops, provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of other St. Louis restaurant patios. Here nobody will walk through the patio on their way to a concert or bar. Here you are not seated along a busy sidewalk. Here there is no loud music to distract you from your real purpose: food. And the food? It's delicious, but might we recommend starting off with one of the housemade sangrias — a peach or a blackberry option, for example. Nothing cools off the hot St. Louis summer nights better than these ice-and-fruit-filled wine beverages.
