Maryland Plaza Fountain
In the movie of our life, we always hope to do everything in a really cool and dramatic way. So if we've gotta get dumped, we're OK with that, just as long as it's suitably theatrical. For these purposes, the fountain in Maryland Plaza in the Central West End is perfect. Just imagine the jets of water arching behind your silhouette as you hear those four fateful words: "We need to talk." Imagine pushing your former beau into the shallow pool, leaving him sputtering and sorry. Imagine stalking off to the conveniently close chocolate and cupcake specialty shops, nursing your broken heart with a caloric overload. It's no Shakespearean tragedy, but it's at least good enough for Lifetime — and that's good enough for us.
